CLASSLESS TABLETOP ROLE-PLAYING GAME

In place of traditional class selection systems, Sword In The Abyss contains an assortment of ability selection pools that allow you to build your own specialized champions.

CREATE YOUR CALLINGS

During narrative play, the callings you create or choose for your champion will amplify their ability to perform tasks that you or the Dark Master come up with.

FANCY CRAFTING?

The Core Rules include three crafting trees:

  • The Kicher possesses a magical cooking technique heralded by demons, allowing you to prepare meals that grant special abilities to your party. As demons partake, you may consume the flesh of monsters, to gain their skills temporarily for a coming battle.

  • The Alchemist, allows you to mix and brew various concoctions to craft items such as bombs, healing potions or deadly poisons. Think outside the box, and mix and match the various items, one example being a healing bomb.

  • The Runecarver, is a perfect match for those who wish to customize or upgrade their equipment, eventually creating items fit for legends to tell.

MONSTERS

Sword In The Abyss will eventually include hundreds of monsters of varying types, levels and abilities. If you wish to create your own monsters, the Core Rule book includes an assortment of rules to use as a guideline for your nefarious endeavors.

LIVING CREATURE CARDS

With the exception of a few, each monster comes packed with rules to play them without a Dungeon Master for those brave enough to play solo or coop only adventures.

BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP WITH CUSTOMIZATION IN MIND

Due to the nature of the ability pools, such as Skills, Runes, Callings, etc. Its easy to plugin new home-brewed content.

DEVELOPER NOTES FOR TTRPG VETERANS

Sword in the Abyss does not aim to reinvent the TTRPG wheel. You’ll come across a lot of familiar concepts you’ve seen before. What we feel SiTA focuses on, is the ability to completely plunge your self into the depths of character customization. That word has been our favorite throughtout development, Customization.
