Dev Log 2: Demo Launch!
Today, we, the devs of Team Harvest are proud to launch our first public version of SWORD IN THE ABYSS(SiTA). A classless tactical TTRPG. We are eager to see how the RPG community reacts to our labor that started in 2020.
We are a very small independent team of individuals who love games of all kinds. It's been a tough battle, but here we stand, and we hope that you join us in our journey to finishing SiTA!
Below is a brief overview of the key elements that make SiTA truly special when combined:
Supplies: An easier way to manage inventory.
Callings: A very simple and interactive way to play outside of combat!
Classless: There are no classes, you will build your very own class out of the ability pools!
Hybrid Heritages: Instead of having half elves or other half races, you can mix and match any two heritages in the game!
Forge your weapon: The game has an in depth crafting system to alter your weapons. Eventually, you could forge your very own weapon of legend!
Darker Features: We have features that provide a dark tone to the game.
Sanity: The game tracks your Champion’s sanity levels. Careful, they can be driven mad!
Injuries: Yes, you could lose a limb, an eye, or your life if you're not careful.
Demo?
In its current release, it is a demo version, which you can download from itch.io. It includes the first 3 levels for player champions, limited ability pools (Skills, Spells), 7 of the heritages, a free forever toolset for DMs to use and lastly, a free level 1 One-Shot named Tower of Moons. Greater detail of the features is included in the first few pages of the Demo’s rulebook.
What is our Objective?
We want to publicly test the game and gather feedback. Some time later, we intend to launch a full 10 level early access of the game alongside a Kickstarter to enhance the Core Rule book and its features.
